Election

Kispiox Band conducts our elections under the Indian Act Election Regulations and as a result of the Corbiere court case all eligible voters 18 years and older who reside on and off reserve have the right to vote in any band election or referendum.  To be eligible to vote you must meet the following criteria

• Kispiox Band Member
• You must be 18 years or older

As per the Corbiere decision we must mail out the nomination notice, the nomination ballot and the election ballot to all members that reside off reserve.   Sandi Reviakin is compiling the Kispiox Band mail out address list of members that are 18 years and older that reside off reserve for our upcoming nomination and election and it must be completed as soon as possible. 

If you wish to be included in our election or referendum process it is up to you to ensure that your current address is always updated our Band membership clerk, Sandi Reviakin.  She can be reached at (250) 842 - 5249 extension 234.
